Initial establishment and growth as an apartment developer
September 1970
Established AI Architectural Design Co., Ltd. at 1-15-15 Kannon Honmachi, Hiroshima City, as a firm dedicated to overseeing architectural design.
February 1971
Registered as a Class 1 architectural design firm.
December 1971
Began licensed under the Building Lots and Buildings Transaction Business Act to function as a property developer and real estate broker and began practicing as such.
April 1981
Established the Institute of Contemporary Comprehensive Management Plan and entered the property management business.
October 1988
Established Z Planning and entered the property development business.
October 1990
Completed construction of "Grandeur Tosu," our first residential condominium project, in Tosu City, Saga Prefecture.
January 1992
Issuance of the "Declaration of Commencement of Condominium Projects.”
August 1994
AI Architectural Design Co., Ltd.; Kotobuki Sekizai Co., Ltd.; Gendai Research Institute Comprehensive Management Plan, Inc.; and Morishita Co., Ltd. (name changed from Z-Planning) all merged to become Marimo Co., Ltd.
Began implementing a strategy to move from developing in rural areas only to urban nationwide development.

Began sales of condominium units in "Polestar Matsue School Street," our 28th condominium and the first building developed under the Polestar brand located in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture.

Began sales of condominium units in "Polestar Otanicho" marking our first development in Mie Prefecture

Began sales of condominium units in "Polestar Garden City Kuwana,” all of which are over 100 m2 in size

Started mixed-use development on approximately 3,000 m2 of land acquired in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture. Starting with our “Polestar Matsuyama Forest City” condominium complex (138 units), we attracted commercial facilities, a call center, medical facilities, and more.
Started mixed-use development in Niigata, Niigata Prefecture. The Tower Niigata condominium complex (221 units) attracted commercial facilities centered around a 24-hour supermarket.
March 2008
Established the "Marimo Way" corporate philosophy.
May 2008
Began sales of condominium units in "Polestar Imaichi Cho Bright Court," our 200th condominium building located in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture.
January 2009
Started the Condominium Restoration Project (purchase and resale).

Established Marimo Architecture Design Consulting (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. as our local representative in Shanghai, China.
Entered the Asian market in earnest, working to become a comprehensive real estate developer

Migrated toward a holding company structure with Marimo Holdings, Inc. as a holding company responsible for the management of the corporate group, and Marimo Co., Ltd. restructured as a business company specializing in the real estate business.

Established the Koshinetsu Branch office.

Began sales of 532 condominium units in the first sale of a total of 1,260 units in 18 buildings at “Shangya Yuan,” our second condominium project in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. (All units were sold in the first month.)

Opening ceremony for Au Ampil Elementary School in Cambodia, where we supported construction of the new school building.

As part of the group's growth strategy, Marimo Holdings has reorganized its businesses into the domestic real estate business, the overseas real estate business, and the non-real estate business.
Marimo Asset Management, GM Associe, Marimo House, and Marimo Real Estate Services, which run the domestic real estate business, have become subsidiaries.
We have formed a capital tie up with AEON MALL Co., Ltd. as a growth strategy to strengthen the domestic real estate business.
